Our Principle: Privacy by Design. We understand the value of operational security from real-world experience. We minimize data collection and prioritize anonymity to ensure your safety.
1. Introduction
The Guardian Protocol application ("App") is a personal safety tool. We take your privacy seriously and have engineered our systems to process only the data necessary for your protection in critical situations.
2. Data Collection and Usage
To provide security features, the App accesses the following data:
Location Data (GPS): Transmitted to your dedicated server only during an active session or upon SOS activation. This informs your authorized contacts in Telegram.
Biometrics (Heart Rate, Accelerometer): Analyzed in real-time to detect emergencies (e.g., fall detection, heart rate anomalies). This data is recorded in a secure FIT-file on your watch.
Device Identifier: We use an anonymous Garmin Device ID to link your watch with your Telegram bot. We do not collect names, phone numbers, or emails for core app functions.
3. Transmission and Security
Encryption: All data is transmitted via secure HTTPS (SSL/TLS) protocols.
Zero Third-Party Sharing: Your location data is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies. It is visible only to the recipients you have authorized.
4. Data Retention
Location Cache: Coordinates are cached on the server only during an active session and are automatically purged within 24 hours of session termination.
FIT-Files: Recorded locally on your Garmin device. Syncing is handled via Garmin Connect infrastructure; our servers do not store activity files permanently.
5. User Control
You maintain full control:
Stop Transmission: Closing the App on your watch ceases all data transmission immediately.
Manual Deletion: Use the /delete_data command in your Telegram bot to clear movement history.
6. Disclaimer
Guardian Protocol is a supplementary tool and does not replace professional emergency services. Reliability depends on GPS signal, Bluetooth connectivity, and internet access.
